I’ve been doing more research than I care to admit, and part of having to market this book has a lot to do with figuring out your “brand.” Just the word makes me want to puke a little.
There’s nothing that keeps me more awake at night than moving at a snail’s pace on a project, especially when it’s out of my hands. I suppose it doesn’t make it any easier when I’m doing it the same week I chose to stop smoking — again!
It hasn’t yet been a week since my last post, but I’m cracking down on my “plans” now, only in a different way. No rules! First of all, people and their opinions are just that: people and their opinions. That’s who we are. We all have them.
It’s pretty weird not to have a manuscript to obsess over. It’s also fine because I now have plenty of art projects on my work plate, and most of those need to be well on their way before I get the book back from my copy editor, Mr. Wilde.
